Our Team
The People Behind Your Plan
Most people end up assembling their own financial team — an advisor, an accountant, an estate attorney — and coordinating it themselves. At Campbell Krug, that work is ours: one team across investments, tax, retirement, estate, and insurance, focused on your plan, not the next client.
Dave Siegel
Sr. Partner
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a former Army Ranger, Dave brings more than three decades of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, nonprofits, and corporate clients.
Before joining the team at Campbell Krug Wealth Management, Dave served as a branch manager and Senior Vice President with regional and national investment firms, where he was recognized multiple times for inclusion on the prestigious Director's Council and President's Council. His depth of experience and standing in the industry have also led him to be called upon as an expert witness within the securities industry.
At Campbell Krug, Dave's leadership and discipline help shape the firm's commitment to serving clients with integrity, clarity, and long-term perspective.
Douglas Krug
Managing Partner
Douglas brings a rare blend of financial leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and deep real estate expertise to Campbell Krug Wealth Management — the product of a career built across some of the country's most respected financial and lending institutions.
Originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Douglas studied at the University of Michigan while simultaneously building and operating his own painting and power-washing business — an early reflection of the work ethic and entrepreneurial drive that would define his career. After graduation, he joined Rocket Companies, where he managed a sales office and earned numerous top sales achievements. He was later recruited by Wells Fargo to oversee a region in Southeast Michigan, and then by Fifth Third Bank, where he led 102 branches and a $1.4 billion lending operation — becoming one of the youngest Senior Vice Presidents in the country at the time.
Alongside his corporate career, Douglas has long been passionate about real estate development and construction. Over the course of his career, he has owned more than 100 properties and operated both a custom home building business and a commercial construction company. That experience gives him uncommon insight into how real estate fits into — and often shapes — a client's broader financial picture, from cash flow and tax exposure to estate and legacy planning.
Douglas holds his FINRA Series 7 registration through LPL Financial and his Series 66 through Private Advisor Group. Additionally he has a Life Insurance license, a Real Estate Broker's license, and a Builder's license.
At Campbell Krug, Douglas draws on the full breadth of this experience to help clients coordinate the moving parts of their financial lives — with particular strength in situations where business ownership, real estate holdings, and long-term wealth planning intersect.
Outside of work, Douglas spends much of his time with family in Lake Tahoe, where he enjoys skiing and boating alongside his daughter Piper and son Rett.
Jason Campbell CPA, AIF
Managing Partner
Jason is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a licensed financial advisor. He began his career in public accounting with one of the Big Four firms and later with a local firm in Roseville, providing tax, audit, and consulting services to individuals, privately held businesses, and qualified corporate retirement plans.
With more than 15 years of experience in professional financial services, Jason focuses on tax-efficient financial planning, with particular emphasis on building distribution strategies designed to help clients maximize retirement income. He also leads the firm's corporate retirement plan practice. Having audited and consulted with hundreds of retirement plans and plan sponsors, Jason brings a distinctive perspective to the management of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans — a core part of Campbell Krug's integrated planning model.
Nick Clevenger
Sr. Partner
Nick brings more than five decades of financial and business experience to Campbell Krug Wealth Management, along with a lifelong commitment to helping clients make sense of their financial lives.
A graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, Nick earned a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in Accounting and Marketing, and later completed graduate coursework in Financial Planning at Golden Gate University. His career began in commercial banking, where he advanced from Credit Analyst to Commercial Loan Officer, and was ultimately recruited to Sacramento in 1979. He continued in banking leadership roles, culminating as Vice President of American Bank of Commerce in Las Vegas.
In 1999, Nick transitioned into financial planning and investment advisory work in Sacramento — becoming one of the first advisors in his office to use proprietary financial planning software to guide client decisions. Two years later, he was recruited to open a Robert W. Baird branch in Sacramento, which he grew from the ground up to more than $250 million in assets under management while licensing, training, and supervising more than 60 registered representatives. In 2002, he joined LPL Financial to return his focus fully to working directly with clients.
Today, Nick's practice centers on comprehensive financial planning, helping clients gain clarity and confidence that their plan is working — and keeping them informed about how changes in the economy and markets may affect their long-term strategy. As he puts it, most clients either cannot do what his team does, or simply no longer want to. His role is to carry that weight for them.
Nick holds Series 3,7,8, 9/10, 63 through LPL Financial and holds his Series 65 through both LPL Financial and Private Advisor Group. Additionally he holds Life and Disability insurance licenses.
Beyond his professional life, Nick has been actively involved in charitable work since high school. For more than 40 years, the majority of his service has supported the Sacramento Children's Home, including 19 years on its Board of Directors across two terms — serving as both Treasurer and President. He founded the organization's annual golf tournament in 1983, and continues to serve on several of its committees today.

At Campbell Krug, Rett is focused on delivering the kind of integrated, highly personal advisory relationship that he believes many clients are missing — one where investments, retirement planning, tax strategy, insurance, and estate coordination work together rather than in isolation. His goal is simple: to give clients clarity, confidence, and the independence that comes from knowing every part of their financial life is aligned and working in their favor.
