Nick brings more than five decades of financial and business experience to Campbell Krug Wealth Management, along with a lifelong commitment to helping clients make sense of their financial lives.

A graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, Nick earned a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in Accounting and Marketing, and later completed graduate coursework in Financial Planning at Golden Gate University. His career began in commercial banking, where he advanced from Credit Analyst to Commercial Loan Officer, and was ultimately recruited to Sacramento in 1979. He continued in banking leadership roles, culminating as Vice President of American Bank of Commerce in Las Vegas.

In 1999, Nick transitioned into financial planning and investment advisory work in Sacramento — becoming one of the first advisors in his office to use proprietary financial planning software to guide client decisions. Two years later, he was recruited to open a Robert W. Baird branch in Sacramento, which he grew from the ground up to more than $250 million in assets under management while licensing, training, and supervising more than 60 registered representatives. In 2002, he joined LPL Financial to return his focus fully to working directly with clients.

Today, Nick's practice centers on comprehensive financial planning, helping clients gain clarity and confidence that their plan is working — and keeping them informed about how changes in the economy and markets may affect their long-term strategy. As he puts it, most clients either cannot do what his team does, or simply no longer want to. His role is to carry that weight for them.

Nick holds Series 3,7,8, 9/10, 63 through LPL Financial and holds his Series 65 through both LPL Financial and Private Advisor Group. Additionally he holds Life and Disability insurance licenses.

Beyond his professional life, Nick has been actively involved in charitable work since high school. For more than 40 years, the majority of his service has supported the Sacramento Children's Home, including 19 years on its Board of Directors across two terms — serving as both Treasurer and President. He founded the organization's annual golf tournament in 1983, and continues to serve on several of its committees today.
